I picked up some more Hoooked Zpagetti yarn whilst on my lunch break from work, can you believe I only paid £4.99 each for two balls of 850g (233 yards)?
So, I thought I’d get to work on making some crocheted tubs (or baskets, I you prefer), and here’s the VERY easy crochet pattern:
Hook: 12mm
Yarn: DMC Hoooked Zpagetti in PINKRED
ALL TERMS ARE UK, see my crochet stitch conversion chart for other terms.
This crochet pattern is worked in the round, do not join any rounds, just keep crocheting unless instructed otherwise by the pattern.
Round 1: ch 3, sl st into 1st ch
Round 2: 8 dc into ring (8)
Round 3: 2dc into each dc around (16)
Round 4: 2dc into each dc around (32) ~ You may find it helpful to place a stitch marker at this point.
Rounds 5-7: dc around (32)
The work will begin to turn upwards to form the sides of the basket. As this happens, keep the right side of the crochet work to the outside as shown in photo 2 below.
Round 8 onwards: dc around until the basket is as tall as you want it to be.
Final round: for the final stitch in the last round, sl st.
Weave in ends.
